Agile Building at Zecoworking: the trust of a first client who became family

Agile Building, smart-building engineering (BMS, KNX, BACS), moved onto the Zecoworking floor at Pont de Neuilly in 2022. Cyrille Dayanga Wande and Raphaël Houis joined forces here and have trusted us ever since.

Agile Building is the story of two entrepreneurs — Cyrille Dayanga Wande and Raphaël Houis— who each ran a smart-building company and decided to do everything together under a single brand. They unpacked their boxes on the Zecoworking floor at Pont de Neuilly in 2022. Four years later, they’re still here.

What Agile Building does

Agile Building is an engineering studio and integrator for BMS(building management systems). Concretely: everything that controls a smart building — heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, lighting, blinds, access control, energy metering, centralised supervision. The team is fluent in the market’s standard protocols — KNX, BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, DALI, LON — and on supervision platforms like Niagara (Tridium).

Four pillars: design and studies, programming, on-site technical assistance and maintenance. All against the backdrop of France’s BACS decree and Tertiary decree— the two regulations forcing the country’s tertiary buildings to slash their energy consumption. Without a serious BMS, these targets are unreachable: that’s exactly their playing field.

The references speak for themselves

A few emblematic projects the team has worked on:

  • Nike House of Innovation, Champs-Élysées — 6,000 m², programming of every terminal KNX controller for air management, integrated with Niagara supervision.
  • Collège des Bernardins — 4,000 m², 13th-century HQE-certified building. Integrated KNX/IP comfort system (DALI lighting + automated blinds), Modbus/M-Bus energy metering, BACnet integration of air-handling units and thermal production, Niagara supervision.
  • Hôtel Drawing House, Paris — hospitality.
  • Le Factory et le Loft — tertiary.
  • Freedom, Porte Maillot — tertiary.
  • Centre Européen du Judaïsme, Paris — tertiary.

The story — two paths crossing

To understand Agile Building, you have to track two parallel stories.

Raphaël Houis founded Domesys in 2011, on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. A reference shop for KNX and BMS integration, which spent more than a decade delivering premium home automation and tertiary projects.

Cyrille Dayanga Wande, by contrast, came in from the top of the chain: smart-building director at Smartenon (La Garenne-Colombes), a firm guiding real-estate owners through the digital and sustainable transition of their assets. Audits, upstream programming, owner-side advisory. The strategy side — defining what to do before defining how to do it.

In December 2020, Raphaël launches Agile Building in Paris. In early 2022, the team moves onto the Zecoworking floor at Pont de Neuilly, barely two months after the floor opens to external companies — Agile Building is our very first client. The same year, Cyrille joins the cap table; he’ll become co-managing director in July 2023. Two complementary expertises under one brand — upstream advisory + downstream integration + maintenance, the whole smart-building value chain.

Trust measured in years

The best proof of trust is duration. Agile Building has been on the floor since 2022, two months after the floor opened to external companies — they are literally our first client. Not one commercial lease ever signed between us, no long lock-in. Just a month-by-month formula, renewed four years in a row. When a client stays this long while being free to leave any time, there’s a real relationship behind it.

And that relationship runs both ways. We watched the team grow, we watched the projects scale up, we watched the merger materialise between Raphaël and Cyrille. When they needed a bit more space, we worked it out. When they needed to adjust, we adjusted. No lengthy back-and-forth with a legal department: we talk founder to founder, and we figure it out.

The floor’s atmosphere

What makes the difference with an anonymous business centre is the atmosphere. The Zecoworking floor only has eight private offices — so everyone knows everyone. We cross paths at the coffee machine in the morning, we meet on the terrace at lunch when the weather’s good, we trade notes on projects, we share good contacts.

The Agile Building team is one of the pillars of the floor. They’re the first to help a neighbour with a technical question, to recommend a supplier, to lend a hand when a meeting room is overbooked. It’s a good-neighbours culture, not flatmates who ignore each other.

Flexibility that matches real company life

When you build a company — especially when you’re merging two structures like Cyrille and Raphaël did — you don’t know exactly what the team will look like in twelve months. A 3-6-9 commercial lease forces you to bet. The Zecoworking floor doesn’t.

  • One-month commitment, one-month notice. The formula breathes with the business.
  • Meeting room included, no per-booking maths. When a client comes in to review a BMS architecture, no ticket is opened.
  • Pont de Neuilly address, one stop before La Défense, eight minutes from Étoile. Ideal to host owners, partner engineering firms, installers.
  • Everything included — fibre, cleaning, coffee, sparkling water, acoustic booths, 24/7 access. Zero hidden cost, zero admin friction.

Today

Agile Building keeps growing, project by project, on the Zecoworking floor at Pont de Neuilly. The legal HQ is Paris 8th (128 rue La Boétie), but operations happen here, at 13 bis rue de l’Abreuvoir, in the same human-scale atmosphere as on day one.

That’s Zecoworking’s DNA exactly: we backed a company merger from the start, we watched two entrepreneurs build a shared brand, and we’re still sharing the same coffee every morning. Trust isn’t decreed, it’s lived.
